Before we start:

  • Please check the scope of delivery. If a component is missing, please contact us at info@grapid.com
  • Scope of delivery: 2x plastic shells (upper and lower half) with integrated magnet, 1x safety screw stainless steel short, 1x safety screw stainless steel long, 2x stainless steel nut, 1x 3M adhesive pad, 1x suitable bit for safety screws, 1x QR code for instructions

Step 1: Inserting the Samsung SmartTag

  • Don't have a Samsung SmartTag2 yet? Order directly here: https://amzn.to/3Uc3nWT
  • Take your Samsung SmartTag2 out of the packaging and carefully remove the protective film. The protective film will protrude into the battery compartment, from then on your SmartTag2 will work.
  • Place your Samsung SmartTag2 in one of the two plastic trays. It is not important which side is on top and which is on the bottom

Step 2: Close the two halves

  • Now you can close the two halves and press them together

What happens next depends entirely on how you want to use your AnyTag.
Adhesive pad? --> Step 3.1
Magnet? --> Step 3.2
Screwed? --> Step 3.3

Step 3.1: Mounting with adhesive pad

  • Next, take one of the nuts and insert it into the lower half
  • From the other side, insert the short stainless steel screw into the component
  • The screw can now be hand-tightened using the bit provided. As soon as the gap between the upper and lower halves is closed at the edges, the screw has been tightened firmly enough
  • CAUTION: Tightening the screws too tightly can damage the component
  • The two halves are now closed and the adhesive pad can be attached. Please remove the pad from the backing film and stick it to the side with the nut, not the side with the screw! This is important so that you can still remove the top half, for example to change the SmartTag battery.
  • Then just remove the protective film and stick the AnyTag in the desired position!

Step 3.2: Mounting with magnet

  • Next, take one of the nuts and insert it into the lower half
  • From the other side, insert the short stainless steel screw into the component
  • The screw can now be hand-tightened using the bit provided. As soon as the gap between the upper and lower halves is closed at the edges, the screw has been tightened firmly enough
  • CAUTION: Tightening the screws too tightly can damage the component
  • Now the two halves are closed, that's it! Please note that the side with the nut is more magnetic than the side with the screw, as the magnet is attached closer to this side and this is the "underside".

Step 3.3: Tightly screwed assembly

  • Next, take one of the nuts and insert it into the lower half
  • From the other side, insert the long stainless steel screw into the component and screw it into the nut so that the screw protrudes as far as possible on the other side
  • The screw can now be tightened hand-tight using the enclosed bit. As soon as the gap between the upper and lower halves is closed at the edges, the screw has been tightened firmly enough
  • CAUTION: Tightening the screws too tightly can damage the component
  • The two halves are now closed and the AnyTag can be screwed into the desired position. There must be at least a 5mm hole in the counterpart. Insert the protruding screw through the hole and counter the screw on the other side with the second nut provided

Step 4: Connect the SmartTag

  • Bring your smartphone close to the SmartTag2 AnyTag holder (very close for connecting)
  • Connect your phone to your Samsung SmartTag2
